How our film attracted another audience than we anticipated

Our film has attracted another audience that we didn't anticipate as it wasn't just a normal thriller which young adults could only enjoy but also teens and and older audience thus making us have a wider audience.The reason for this is because our film has a complex storyline which we have shown in the sequence by going back and forth between the present and the past.Also because the killer is mysterious even though we knew what she looks like.
